Please read these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the SAT® & TOEFL® Olympiad 2026 Website or registering as a Participant. By accessing or registering for the Olympiad, You agree to be bound by these Terms. If You do not agree, You must not use the Service.
1. Interpretation and Definitions
Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:
- Company
- (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to the SAT® & TOEFL® Olympiad.
- Service
- refers to the Website and the SAT® & TOEFL® Olympiad 2026 program operated by the Company.
- Website
- refers to SAT® & TOEFL® Olympiad, accessible from https://satolympiad.org/.
- Olympiad
- refers to the SAT® & TOEFL® Olympiad 2026 scholastic competition organised by the Company on August 29 & 30, 2026.
- Participant
- means any student in Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 who has registered to take part in the Olympiad in accordance with these Terms.
- Account
- means a unique account created for You to access the Service or parts of the Service.
- Scholarship
- means any award, grant, programme, or benefit offered to Participants by the Company or its partners through the Olympiad.
- Organising Committee
- means the panel constituted by the Company that is responsible for the conduct, evaluation, and final scholarship-allocation decisions of the Olympiad.
- You
- means the individual accessing or using the Service, or, where applicable, the parent or guardian acting on behalf of a minor Participant, or the school or other legal entity registering students in bulk.
2. Acknowledgment
These Terms govern Your use of the Service and constitute the agreement between You and the Company. By accessing or registering for the Service, You acknowledge that You have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.
Your access to and use of the Service is also conditioned on Your acceptance of and compliance with the Company's Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully before using the Service.
3. Eligibility
The Olympiad is open to students currently enrolled in Grades 9, 10, 11, or 12 in any recognised school, in India or internationally.
- Participants below the age of 18 must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before registering. Submission of the registration form constitutes confirmation that such consent has been obtained.
- Schools may register students in bulk, in which case the school undertakes to obtain parental consent from each registered student.
- Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of the Company and its partner organisations are not eligible to receive Scholarships, but may participate in the Olympiad for benchmarking purposes.
- The Company reserves the right to verify Participant eligibility at any stage and to disqualify any Participant who provides false, misleading, or incomplete information.
4. Registration and Account
To participate in the Olympiad, You must complete the registration form and pay the applicable fee. You agree that:
- All information provided during registration is accurate, current, and complete.
- You will keep Your registration details up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login credentials associated with Your Account.
- Each registration is valid for one Participant only and is non-transferable.
- The Company reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel any registration that violates these Terms.
5. Fees and Payment
The following fees apply to Olympiad registration:
- Standard registration fee: ₹749 (Indian Rupees, all-inclusive).
- Early-bird registration fee: ₹499 (Indian Rupees, all-inclusive), available for a limited period as announced on the Website.
Payments are processed through the Company's authorised payment gateway. By making a payment, You authorise the Company and its payment provider to charge the applicable fee in accordance with the terms of the gateway.
Refunds and Cancellations
- Registration fees are non-refundable once the registration has been confirmed and payment has been received, except where required by applicable law.
- If the Company cancels or postpones the Olympiad for reasons within its control, the Company will offer either a full refund of the registration fee or the option to participate in a rescheduled Olympiad, at the Participant's choice.
- The Company is not liable for any incidental costs incurred by the Participant (e.g., internet expenses, device rental) in connection with cancellation or postponement.
6. Olympiad Conduct
The Olympiad will be held entirely online on August 29 & 30, 2026 (Saturday & Sunday). Participants may take the test at any time during this two-day window.
Test Format
- The Olympiad consists of an SAT® simulation (40-minute online test) and a TOEFL® simulation (30-minute online test) using retired official questions.
- Each section must be completed in a single, uninterrupted sitting.
- The test must be taken on a laptop or desktop computer with a stable internet connection. Mobile phones and tablets are not supported.
Code of Conduct
Participants agree to take the Olympiad fairly and honestly. The following are strictly prohibited:
- Receiving help from any other person during the test.
- Using any unauthorised tools, applications, or reference materials, including AI assistants and other software not explicitly permitted.
- Sharing test questions, answers, or screenshots with any third party at any time, including after the test window closes.
- Taking the test on behalf of another person, or allowing another person to take the test on Your behalf.
- Attempting to manipulate the testing platform or scoring system in any way.
Any breach of the Code of Conduct will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any Scholarship, and may result in legal action. The decisions of the Organising Committee in respect of test conduct, evaluation, and disqualification are final and binding.
7. Scholarships and Prizes
The Olympiad offers Scholarships and benefits from confirmed partner organisations including, but not limited to, Galvanize, Clarkson, Lumiere, and We-Learn. Each Scholarship is subject to its own specific terms and conditions, which are displayed on the Prizes & Scholarships section of the Website and may include score thresholds, recipient limits, eligibility criteria, and partner-specific approval requirements.
General Scholarship Terms
- Scholarship awards are subject to verification of Olympiad scores and Participant eligibility.
- Scholarships requiring admission to a partner institution are conditional on the Participant being admitted by that institution under its own admissions process.
- Scholarships are non-transferable, non-refundable, and have no cash equivalent.
- While every top scorer is assured of receiving at least one reward or recognition, not every top performer will qualify for every Scholarship.
- Final allocation of all Scholarships is at the sole discretion of the Organising Committee, whose decisions are final and binding.
- The Company reserves the right to substitute any Scholarship with one of equivalent or greater value if the original cannot be delivered for reasons beyond its control.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website, including without limitation the Olympiad name, logos, trademarks, illustrations, scoring methodology, registration form design, and original test materials, is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws.
- You may use the Website and its content solely for personal, non-commercial purposes related to Your participation in the Olympiad.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from any Website content without the Company's prior written consent.
- SAT® is a registered trademark of the College Board. TOEFL® is a registered trademark of Educational Testing Service (ETS). Use of these marks on the Website is for descriptive purposes only and does not imply endorsement by the trademark owners.
- Retired SAT® and TOEFL® questions used in the Olympiad remain the property of their respective owners and are used in accordance with the Company's licensing arrangements.
9. User Content
If You submit any content as part of Your participation - for example, an essay submission for the Lumiere scholarship or any other supporting material - You grant the Company a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, evaluate, and (with Your additional consent) feature such content for promotional purposes related to the Olympiad.
You warrant that any content You submit is original, does not infringe any third-party rights, and does not contain unlawful, defamatory, or offensive material.
10. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent Your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Service, its servers, or any networks connected to the Service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Service, including other users' Accounts.
- Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service or extract data, except for legitimate search-engine indexing.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information at any stage of the Olympiad.
- Engage in any activity designed to inflate, manipulate, or fraudulently influence test scores or Scholarship allocations.
11. Termination
The Company may suspend or terminate Your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, if You breach these Terms. Upon termination, Your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
You may discontinue use of the Service at any time. The provisions of these Terms relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law will survive termination.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company expressly disclaims all warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Without limiting the foregoing, the Company makes no warranty that:
- The Service will function uninterrupted, securely, or be available at any particular time or location.
- Any defects or errors in the Service will be corrected.
- The results that may be obtained from the use of the Service will be accurate or reliable in respect of admissions, scholarship outcomes, or future test performance.
- Participation in the Olympiad will result in admission to any specific institution or guarantee any specific Scholarship.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the Company, its affiliates, partners, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to Your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
The Company's total aggregate liability to You for any and all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the registration fee actually paid by You for the Olympiad.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Company and its officers, directors, employees, partners, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (i) Your access to or use of the Service; (ii) Your breach of these Terms; or (iii) Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property right.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
16. Severability and Waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be modified to achieve the original intent to the greatest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The failure of the Company to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
17. Changes to these Terms
The Company reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time, at its sole discretion. We will notify You of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last modified" date at the top.
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective constitutes Your acceptance of the revised Terms. If You do not agree with the revised Terms, You must stop using the Service.
